After breakfast, enjoy exciting feature presentations projected onto the famous dome of the QVMAG Planetarium. The Planetarium is part of Australia's largest regional museum, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, featuring natural science and history exhibitions, an interactive science centre and colonial era to contemporary artworks.


Head back to the CBD and enjoy a delicious lunch at Cafe one0six, where you can choose between their extensive, multi-cuisine menu.


Enjoy one of Launceston's most renowned attractions, the Penny Royal, with a Family Activity Pass. Here you can experience a range of different adventure activities including Rock Climbing, Zip Lines, a Cliff Walk and Quick Jump, Matthew Brady's Dark Ride, the Brig Tamar Cruise, the Gold & Gemstone Mine and Convict Barefoot Sensation.

Day 3: Sunday 13th August

Spend the morning relaxing with a family pass at the Launceston Aquatic Centre. Located just minutes from the city centre, the aquatic centre features heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa, a children's play area with new water play equipment, a fitness hub and waterside cafe.


Enjoy lunch at Alchemy Bar & Restaurant before heading to the game. From a mouth-watering Tasmanian steak, to a classic and flavourful salad, Alchemy's menu has something for everyone.

Let's watch the Hawks dominate! There is nothing as exciting as a live game of football played at the top level, with superb athletes battling it out for the ultimate prize of the right to play in the AFL Grand Final.

  3. This Prize is catering for two adult people (over the age of 18) and two children (people under the age of 18)
  4. Some activities may not be available due to adverse weather conditions in which case winners will not be compensated for prize element, this part of the prize will simply be void
  5. Retail vouchers which make up the CityProm Shopping Experience are only valid for the duration of the time as outlined on each individual voucher, after this time the vouchers are void
  6. The Holiday Prize must be redeemed on the specified dates above, no date changes are allowed. If the prize winner is unable to travel on the set dates, another winner will be drawn by Tourism Northern Tasmania

How to enter

  1. To enter, individuals need to : enter in the comment field of the original post made on at 9am on Saturday 29th of April 2017 "Tell us why watching the Tassie Hawks in Launceston will be a great experience?"
  2. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
  3. Only one entry is permitted per individual.
  4. Tourism Northern Tasmania reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  5. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, Tourism Northern Tasmania reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

When to enter

  1. Entries open at 9am AEST on Saturday 29th April
  2. Closing date for entries will be 5pm AEST on Thursday 13th July. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted
  3. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

Judging Process

  1. The prize winners will be decided by a judging panel appointed by Tourism Northern Tasmania. Judging will take place on Friday 14th July at 10am AEST 2017
  2. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the prize winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on creative merit of the answer provided to the question. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter may direct the judging panel to nominate additional suitable entries in case the original winning entry is deemed invalid or ineligible, or the prize winner cannot be contacted.
  3. The prize winners will be notified in writing via Facebook. Their names will be published by the Northern Tasmania Facebook page on Friday 14th July at 3pm AEST
  4. If the prize is not claimed by 5:00pm (AEST) on Wednesday 19th of July 2017, Tourism Northern Tasmania reserves the right to award the prize to the second best judged entry decided on Friday 14th July at 10am (AEST). In the event that the winner cannot accept the prize (for whatever reason) the prize will be forfeited by that winner and the third best judged entry will be awarded the prize and so on until a valid winner is found who is able to accept the prize.

In consideration for Tourism Northern Tasmania to award the prize to the winner, the winner hereby permits the winner's submission, image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the winner's participation in the prize to appear in connection with Tourism Northern Tasmania advertising or marketing thereof, in any media whatsoever throughout the world and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
  2. Each entrant hereby assigns all rights to Tourism Northern Tasmania concluding, title, interest in and to all copyright and all moral rights in any material created or otherwise submitted to Tourism Northern Tasmania in connection with that entrant's entry and or participation in any aspect of the prize. Each entrant warrants that Tourism Northern Tasmania is free to use this content; including modifying, adapting or publishing the entry and or participation, whether in original or modified form, in whole or in part or not at all, in addition to exercise its rights in relation thereto and neither the entrant nor any third party will be entitled to any fee for any such use over any channel anywhere in the world.
