Moores Hill Estate is a family-owned vineyard on the northern slopes of the Tamar Valley. In 2017, they built Tasmania's first 100 per cent solar powered winery.
Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown in their meticulously groomed vineyard. They are best known for producing outstanding Riesling but there is something to suit all tastes in their range.
Take in the sweeping views over the vineyard from the cellar door and relax with a plate of Tasmanian produce and a glass of wine.
Open daily, all year round for tastings, sales and most importantly, a chat about cool climate wines.
Owners of battery-powered cars can also charge their vehicles at the winery.
The cellar door is half an hour's drive from Launceston (40 kilometres/25 miles).
