Tasmania is officially cementing its place as one of Australia’s fashion hot spots, with both Launceston and Hobart hosting the Tasmanian Fashion Festival. Back for its second year, the festival will celebrate the ever growing Tasmanian fashion industry, and support emerging and established Tasmanian designers, manufacturers, retailers, creatives and brands from across the state.
The Tasmanian Fashion Festival is a celebration of Tasmanian owned, designed and produced fashion. It is an opportunity for established and emerging businesses to showcase their collections.
The festival will showcase the best of local fashion, and will feature runways, workshops, networking events, exhibitions and live entertainment.
The TFF will promote and connect the Tasmanian Fashion Community by hosting three events (one in Launceston and two in Hobart) that celebrate the entire journey of fashion, from where and how the fibres are produced through to the final garments that are created. The festival will provide educational opportunities around the importance of sustainability, diversity, inclusion, and transparency, and aims to build a friendly and welcoming Tasmanian fashion community.
