Saturday 4th November 10.30-1.30pm

Saturday 11th November12-3pm

Saturday 9th December 1pm-2pm

About the Workshop

Working as part of a community group, this workshop series will guide participants through the process of designing and constructing a stacked style of ceramic sculpture, inspired by the Wetlands exhibition on display at QVMAG and the kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary wetlands of Tasmania.

The final sculpture is to be placed on public display at the Tamar Island Wetlands Information Centre in 2023-24, with all workshop artists acknowledged within the display. At the end of the display period, all participants will receive their section of the public art activation to take home.

Duration

The workshop series will run during November and December 2023 over three sessions. Participants will need to attend all three for the construction and glazing of their sections of the sculpture.
