Looking for something to do with the whole family on a Sunday? Launceston’s Civic Square is playing host to a new family-friendly market, celebrating the diversity we have here in our community.
Inspired by the multiculturalism in Launceston, World Street Eats aims to showcase different cuisines and street food one can find around the globe. Expect to munch on Korean Pancakes, a doughy pocket filled with sweet or savory goodness. Or delight yourself with some Brazilian Pastels, Thai Curries, Philippine Vegetarian Adobo… Oh the list goes on! We recommend going on an empty stomach.
Whilst the focus is on bringing international street food to Launceston, the market will also be engaging community to bring us entertainment of all sorts! Be mesmerised by Thai cultural dances, serenaded by local busker Jaywell and get involved in cooking demonstrations. There will also be a kids corner with activities for the little ones.
Mark your calendars for 10th November 10 am to 2 pm for the first World Street Eats market. More information can be found via the website.
