Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre & Yarns, Deloraine

The Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre is an accredited member of the Tasmanian Visitor Information Network and incorporates The Deloraine and District Folk Museum and Yarns Artwork in Silk attractions.

Centrally located in the north of Tasmania, Meander Valley's skyline is dominated by the majestic rugged escarpment of the Great Western Tiers. The Aboriginal people have always known this ever-changing backdrop as Kooparoona Niara, meaning "Mountains of the Spirits". Experience wild waterfalls, pristine wilderness, heritage and history, nature and gourmet foods, we have it all in the Great Western Tiers.

The Centre can assist you with statewide bookings for accommodation and tours. Onsite there are public toilets, a gift shop, free maps and brochures.

Services include Redline bus tickets, National Park passes, fishing licences, RV camping permits and Spirit of Tasmania ferry bookings.

Open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, 7 days a week. Note that hours may vary over winter.

Yarns Artwork in Silk is viewable from 9.30 to 4.00pm, half hourly, 7 days a week.
