Walk Cataract Gorge launched in 2018 with its first one hour walk The Jewel of Launceston, which combines the best that Cataract Gorge has to offer, and has now added the 45-minute second tour Launceston’s Natural Heart, giving you natures essentials for your Cataract Gorge visit.
In 2015 your guide Tanya turned her back on a long and successful career in hotel management, to pursue her dream of starting a tourism business so that she could show off Cataract Gorge to the world and make a lasting positive contribution to the community.
The gamble paid off, and after two years of juggling study (undertaking a Certificate III in Guiding) and casual jobs, and business planning, Walk Cataract Gorge launched in January 2018.
An outgoing and knowledgeable host, Tanya brings to the role a passion for the environment, the community, and all things Launceston.
WCG is EcoStar accredited, as well as a Quality Assured tourism business. We all want to do something worthwhile.
By taking this tour, you are doing good, not only for yourself but for others too. Walk Cataract Gorge has a strong social and environmental philosophy. See the website for details.
Due to current health advice on social distancing, please contact the business for the most up to date information regarding opening times and services.
