The Granary

The Granary is a beautifully restored 1820s sandstone building, which has been lovingly refurbished to create a unique and unforgettable country accommodation experience. There are 3 bedrooms - 2 with queen beds and one with 2 singles. All beds are superbly comfortable to ensure a truly restful night’s sleep. They are made up with luxurious linens, and for those cooler months fitted with electric blankets. There are two large bathrooms, both with underfloor heating to keep those feet nice and warm. No need to bring a thing as soft towels, shampoo, coditioner and body wash are all provided. For those of us that require a hairdryer and ghd hair straightener, we have that covered. The jewel in The Granary’s crown is its open-plan living area beneath a frame of Tasmanian oak beams. The kitchen is fully self contained, complete with everything you would need to create a delicious meal (or if you would prefer to have someone else do the cooking we can arrange a seasonal menu for you to look at and order from prior to your arrival). Located 20 minutes from Launceston Airport, on the outskirts of the charming rural town of Cressy, The Granary is in the ideal position to explore all that the Northern Tasmania has to offer. Bush walking, wine tasting, hot air ballooning, fly fishing, are all within easy reach. You may however, as some of our recent guests have found, prefer to read a book by the fire or relax on one of our many balconies overlooking the magical views of the surrounding countryside and the Richmond Hill garden.
Providing gorgeous self-contained accommodation near Cressy, Tasmania. The Granary will comfortably sleep 6 people and is designed to cater for couples or guests seeking a tranquil escape to the country.
