Quamby Pines is one of the only few Places you can fish for rainbow trout in the three acre dam, some of our Guest's caught them very successfully with Worm's in just a few minutes of fishing. There are wetlands for the benefits of lots of different waterbirds, a Family of platypuses, some pretty rare frogs. We planted more than a thousand Trees; all in the spirit of contributing to the environmental health of our region, thus getting the benefit of abundant native wild life, including potoroos, wallabies, echidnas, deer and the odd tiger snake. Lots of different birds make it a birdwatchers paradise. We have a zero carbon footprint with all water collected from rain, our roof is home to a 9kw solar and 2 solar hot water systems, thus making us independent of dirty electricity. Also if you fancy some good Tas. Food, try Cely's home cooked meals with Spring Rolls, Venison Schnitzel or Filipino Beef Strips being some of the favorites.
